Akasha Wellness Bangkok
Sound Healing
Sound healing is a practice that uses vibrational frequencies to promote relaxation and stimulate the body's natural healing processes. All of our sound healing sessions last one hour, in order to allow you to achieve optimal levels of relaxation.
But why are Sound Healing sessions one hour?
Sound healing sessions are typically one hour long in order to allow enough time for you to fully relax and experience the benefits of the therapy.
One hour is considered the optimal length of time for a sound healing session, as it provides enough time for the body and mind to enter a deep state of relaxation and for the vibrations from the instruments to work on multiple levels of the body.
Gong Baths
Gong baths are a type of sound therapy that involve the use of gongs and other instruments to create a meditative and immersive experience.
During a typical gong bath class, participants lie down comfortably on yoga mats while the facilitator plays gongs and other instruments, creating a range of sounds and vibrations that can be felt throughout the body.
Different gongs have different goals. Here at Akasha Wellness, we have five unique gongs, all of which induce a deep state of relaxation and promote healing on a physical, emotional, and spiritual level. Classes also incorporate meditation and breathwork.
Tibetan Singing Bowl
Tibetan singing bowl sound healing is a type of sound therapy that uses handcrafted metal bowls made from a combination of metals, such as copper, tin, and zinc, to create a range of sounds and vibrations that promote relaxation and healing. Originating from the Himalayan regions of Nepal, Tibet, and India, Tibetan singing bowls are made using traditional techniques passed down through generations.
In a class, participants will lie down or sit comfortably while the facilitator plays the singing bowls, creating a sustained tone or striking the bowl to produce a range of sounds and vibrations. The vibrations from the bowls can help reduce stress and anxiety, promote relaxation, and balance the body's energy centers.
Tibetan singing bowls are considered special because of their unique sounds and vibrations, which are believed to have healing properties.
Crystal Bowl
Crystal bowl sound healing is a type of sound therapy that uses quartz crystal singing bowls to produce a range of tones and vibrations that can help promote relaxation and healing. During a typical class, participants lie down or sit comfortably while the facilitator plays the crystal bowls, creating a soothing and meditative experience.
The vibrations from the crystal bowls can help balance and align the body's energy centers, and may also help reduce stress and anxiety. Some crystal bowl sound healing classes may also incorporate meditation or other mindfulness practices to enhance the overall healing experience.
Gong Nidra
Gong Nidra is a form of guided meditation. During this class, you are guided through cues and sounds that induce a state of deep relaxation and conscious sleep. It helps release muscular and postural tensions in the body, as well as mental and emotional heaviness.
It's a simple yet profound practice that revitalises the entire system, and is suitable for those seeking to relax and reset the body and mind.
It's time to take a break and soothe your soul.
